100 Years of Dystopia Series Episode 7

Welcome to the Team!

Director Terry Gilliam (12 Monkeys) takes a vacation from his day job drawing cartoons for Monty Python’s Flying Circus to explore the equally absurd antics of 1980s corporate culture in dystopian farce Brazil. Can nebbish bean counter Jonathan Pryce ignore a clerical error that led to the arrest, torture, and death of an innocent man?  Or will he transform into the winged warrior of his dreams, and fight the system alongside A/C repairman Robert DeNiro and trucker Kim Griest?  No need for all that paperwork. Overview
Low-level bureaucrat Sam Lowry escapes the monotony of his day-to-day life through a recurring daydream of himself as a virtuous hero saving a beautiful damsel. Investigating a case that led to the wrongful arrest and eventual death of an innocent man instead of wanted terrorist Harry Tuttle, he meets the woman from his daydream, and in trying to help her gets caught in a web of mistaken identities, mindless bureaucracy and lies.
