Godzilla

9 movies in this series

Godzilla has been stomping cities, battling monsters, and reminding humanity of the dangers of nuclear power for more than 70 years. Now Playing’s Godzilla Retrospective doesn’t cover every movie in the King of the Monsters’ enormous filmography, but it brings together all of our Godzilla reviews in one monstrous collection.

Return to 1954 for the original Japanese classic that started it all, then watch Godzilla take on King Kong in their first cinematic clash. Jump ahead to Hollywood’s controversial 1998 reinvention before entering Legendary’s MonsterVerse, where Godzilla faces MUTOs, King Ghidorah, Kong, and other colossal threats. Finally, return to Japan for the acclaimed Godzilla Minus One and its follow-up.

From nuclear nightmare to monster-mashing blockbuster, join the Now Playing hosts as we follow Godzilla through the eras, incarnations, and continents we’ve covered so far.
