The Passion of the Cockroach

Long before Hollywood bestowed him with big budgets and a bunch of Oscars, Guillermo del Toro was a hungry young filmmaker from Mexico with a talent for bringing Gothic fairy tales to life. Join Stuart, Justin, and Arnie as they wander inside this visionary’s labyrinthine mind for a “trilogia” of fantasy movies told in his native Spanish language. The journey begins with 1992’s Cronos, an unconventional vampire movie that shows more empathy for bloodsuckers and bugs than it does for future Hellboy star Ron Perlman.
