Spider-Man Series Episode 6

No matter what, can we all agree we’re glad the first-person camera shots were kept to a minimum?

Raimi, Maguire, and Dunst were all primed to return to the Marvel Universe for Spider-Man 4, but a spat between Raimi and Columbia pictures over the franchise’s direction led to a split. Now, five years after Raimi’s Spider-Man 3, Spider-Man is back on the big screen with a new director, a new star, and a new backstory involving deep mysteries of Peter Parker’s past. Romancing fellow student Gwen Stacy, pursued by her father Captain George Stacy, and trying to save New York from The Lizard’s evil schemes, is this truly an amazing Spider-Man film? Listen to Arnie, Stuart, and Jakob’s review to find out!

Peter Parker is an outcast high schooler abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben and Aunt May. Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors, his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.
