A broad slapstick comedy set in medieval times, Army of Darkness bears little resemblance to the raunchy “video nasty” Evil Dead film that started director Sam Raimi’s career. But this film is indeed a direct sequel to Evil Dead II, continuing the story of Ash as he fights the zombie deadites, including an evil clone of himself!
