We all go a little mad sometimes… especially director Brian DePalma for the thrillers of Alfred Hitchcock in his 1980 postmodern slasher Dressed To Kill. What diagnosis will psychiatrist Michael Caine give the psycho who stalks and kills his patients with the shrink’s stolen straight razor? And can a teenage computer nerd provide any technical assistance to potential victim Nancy Allen, or his sexually frustrated mother Angie Dickinson? Jakob, Arnie, and Stuart invite donors to lie down on a couch made for Now Playing Podcast Patrons, and listen in this January.

It took five years, but the Ghostbusters were back! Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson strapped the proton packs on once more, rejoined by co-stars Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis, and Annie Potts. The crew is the same, and a lot of the story beats are the same, but Ghostbusters 2 has a far worse reputation than the original. Is this deserved, or should the naysayers be soaked in happy slime? Donate to Now Playing Podcast and you can listen to find out!

You know the song. You know the cartoon. You know the film – Ghostbusters! This 1984 horror-comedy from the makers of Caddyshack and Meatballs defied all expectations. Not only did this film break box-office records, it has become a cultural touchstone. For over 30 years it seems everyone loves this film. But critically, how does it hold up after so many imitators have aped the formula? Help keep Now Playing Podcast going strong- make a donation and hear the entire trilogy of Ghostbusters movie reviews!
